A Swiss entrepreneur who had already successfully set up a coffee farm and tourist lodge in the southern highlands of Tanzania, decided to invest in a coffee house in the old town of Stone Town on the island of Zanzibar.
The Zanzibar Coffee House is a traditional Arab building carefully renovated and located in the middle of Stone Town. It is a small guest house with a typical rooftop terrace and a popular coffee shop on the street level. Its coffee is famous on the island for its quality and the local staff is internationally trained in professional barista skills. In addition, the Zanzibar Coffee Company distributes its own freshly roasted coffee beans to many of the hotels and restaurants on the island.
