Two Swiss entrepreneurs with extensive experience in the furniture industry decided to establish a furniture factory in the town of Bjala on the Black Sea focusing on creative furniture design
Skilled labor, the availability of raw materials, political stability and the importance of the furniture industry were crucial factors for the entrepreneurs when choosing Bulgaria as a production site.
The factory cooperates with the Swiss furniture industry and sells high quality furniture for private apartments and public venues to Swiss and EU markets. The company created 29 jobs and in addition employs three to four apprentices to ensure the transfer of know-how in advanced woodworking methods locally. The employees are continuously trained in the latest production and management processes. ArteBjala received a loan from the SECO Start-up Fund to co-finance the factory.
